The chimney crown at this older home in Portland, CT had deteriorated leaving the chimney system exposed to moisture. Our sweeps and masonry experts removed the crown and top course of brick. We then replaced those bricks and rebuilt the chimney crown as well as repointed around the roof level and shoulder of the chimney. We reinstalled the stainless steel multi-caps and applied water repellant.
